What Is The Price Of Your Values..?

As I sat back a few days ago, (which was a Wednesday by the way) I thought about my goals. Along with the territory of becoming a radio show host/owner comes a ton of pressure. Pressure from promotions, timing, and the biggest one... the pressure of doing something that you said to yourself and the people who love you that you wouldn't. This may be my biggest fear as a radio show host/owner.

I have ALWAYS been someone with my OWN integrity. I feel that if you want to be happy with yourself, then you have to identify what your limits are and be firm in not crossing them. I've wanted to help people since the first time I had held the door open for a woman. The genuine smile she gave warmed my soul. Shortly after that is when I found myself holding the door open for the next 20 people behind her.

My inspiration is to help the people with simple or not-so-simple emotional problems. Not to talk about what is negative in the world. Not to confuse negativity with important issues like wars, poverty, and crime. Just useless negativity brought on by people who do not understand what it is to be yourself. To be human. To have YOUR OWN WAY of fun as long as no one gets hurt or no laws have been broken. The biggest waste of Americas time in my opinion was the social war against Miley Cyrus' VMA Performance.

Never mind that she was enjoying herself. Forget that she wanted to be a brand and not just another "kid from Disney" making Kids Bop songs. The American people will go thru hell and high water to dig up dirt and muster up negative feedback. When all it took was for the people who didn't like it, to change the channel. I didn't get to watch the VMAs live, but if I hadn't seen it at all, I would think Miley just had a concert because I didn't hear about ANY other performances.

Radio stations survive off of ratings. Not sure of the whole pie but I'm pretty sure that's it in a nutshell. And as far as MY radio show would work if I called the shots, there would not be any talk of the VMAs if it weren't in a positive light. We as Americans or even throughout the world, have so much to be grateful for. The gift of life in itself, but to be able to have your own opinion and your own mind is such a beautiful thing.

So Why Are We Using It To Tear Other People Down?!?

We are all human. We all want to be loved and accepted. We want to be needed, appreciated and be happy. So for such a big social gateway like radio to push negative energy into people cars, homes, and offices is unnecessary, its unjust, its another "un" word that I don't even know. (Props To Dane Cook For That Set Up)

So back to the topic of this Blog.
What is the price of MY values..?

I am here to help not to hurt. To uplift not to discourage. To learn, not to impose my beliefs on anyone else.

So when and if someone asks me to broadcast negativity across my airwaves. There is NO price. NO amount of money will take me away from my people. I work for charities. I wake up daily to see others happy. I smile when the world smiles. So if America wants positivity, I want to be a vessel. If the big wigs want to cancel my show or my broadcast, the people will not stand up for me, but against negativity and adversity.

So.....
What's YOUR price?
